Aaron Tay, Founder & Partner
Aaron Tay is the founder and partner of ALToken Ventures and has worked with numerous companies (late-stage startups, growth companies, small and medium enterprises and public listed companies) in the past 20 years as an investment professional in private equity, venture capital and hedge funds.
Aaron has been involved in the entire investment lifecycle, from fundraising deal origination to divestments. He has diverse sector experience, including consumer, healthcare, real estate and web3.
Aaron holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Melbourne. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and Chartered Market Technician.
Shannon Thong, Partner
Shannon Thong is a partner at ALToken Ventures and is seasoned private equity investment professional with 18 years of regional investments and more than 2 years of equity capital market advisory experience. She has extensive experience in sourcing, execution and managing Series A to pre-IPO investments in Southeast Asia and Greater China in various industry sectors. She has also executed cross-border strategic investments in financial services sector in Vietnam.
Shannon has gained good experience in PE fundraising preparation, fund management as well as investment risk management.
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree majoring in Finance from National Taiwan University in Taiwan, and an MBA from University of Pittsburgh in the US.
